A little about me
I'm a father of three and a grandfather of one. Sorry ladies - I'm married! I love the outdoors. My family visits Yellowstone every year. My wife and I are rockhounds, and I plan on getting a metal detector so I can hunt for gold. I've got the beard for it! Touring is something I've always wanted to do. I'm absolutely enjoying every moment I spend on tour. It's literally a dream come true!
Deserted island: one book, one album, one movie
Book: How to Stay Alive: The Ultimate Survival Guide for Any Situation by Bear Grylls or The SAS Survival Handbook by John "Lofty" Wiseman. Album: Tool: Essential Album. Movie: Cast Away or Swiss Family Robinson. I'm prioritizing survival here, but I'm gonna rock the experience!
If I had a superpower:
Immortality! There's so much in this world to see and enjoy, I wouldn't want to miss anything. It would also allow me to witness how everything ends up. I could learn more, maybe even help fix things. The downside of watching your loved ones leave would suck but you could also witness where the branches of your family tree reach. Basically, it's not about having the instant gratification of a flashy power; it's more about playing the long game!
Best thing about touring that people would never guess
Consistency! In trucking, your pay is very volatile, it fluctuates day to day. It's also hard to plan or schedule anything. In touring, you know where you'll be and how long you'll be gone. You can count on your pay and actually plan ahead. That is an amazing thing!
